Joseph A. Publications: Joe’s published works include a myriad of articles on various subjects including space law, aviation law, wrongful death litigation, and construction litigation published in journals such as the Air and Space Lawyer, Trial Lawyers Guide, Journal of Air Law and Commerce, Pepperdine Law Review and the Northrop University Law Journal of Aerospace Business and Taxation.

Experience: Joe is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated attorney. He specializes his national practice in complex plaintiff and defense civil litigation matters. This includes aviation, products liability, construction, commercial, auto, catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation, legal, medical, and dental malpractice.

He has litigated in various forums both nationally and internationally including Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands, and in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Alaska, California, Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Louisiana, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, and Hawaii.

During his legal career, Mr. Bosco has been involved in many complex catastrophic aviation litigation matters. Notable examples include litigation arising out of: Korean Airlines Flight 007 Disaster on September 1, 1983; the grounding of the Oil Tanker, AMOCO Cadiz off the coast of Brittany, France on March 16, 1978; the crash of Philippine Airlines Flight 206 on June 26, 1987 near Baguio City, the Philippines; United Airlines Flight 232 near Sioux City, Iowa on July 19, 1989; the mid-air collision involving a Sun Oil helicopter and Lycoming Air Services aircraft in lower Merion, Pennsylvania on April 4, 1991 (resulting in six deaths, including the late Senator John Heinz); the January 30, 2006 crash involving a Cessna aircraft at Chicago Executive Airport, Wheeling, Illinois, resulting in four deaths; and the April 7, 2015 crash involving a Cessna aircraft at the Central Illinois Regional Airport, Bloomington, Illinois, resulting in seven deaths.

For the last 25 years, Mr. Bosco has represented several national rental equipment companies and temporary traffic control subcontractors in Illinois.

Joe is a former member of the General Assembly of the Illinois State Bar Association and a current member of the Aviation Law Section of the Chicago Bar Association. He has been an Instructor of Air and Space Law at Loyola University of Chicago, School of Law, a member of the International Court of Aviation and Space Arbitration, the Lawyers' Pilots Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the International Society of Barristers, and the Helicopter Association International. Joe is currently a member of the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association. Joe has been selected for inclusion in the Illinois Super Lawyers® since 2006.
